关于项目

RocketSpace provides speed and direction to the world’s top tech start-ups and corporate innovators. Their London tech campus, based in Regents House, was their first beyond San Francisco and the result of a successful partnership with NatWest.
The fit-out and restoration of 1980s Regents House (formerly a cash handling facility for RBS ) provides RocketSpace and their high-growth tech start-up business members with 9,000m2 flexible working space.
Set over four floors, including a former underground bank vault, our design strips back the building to its original structural core.
The loading bays have been converted into an impressive double height event space. Upper floors provide open plan dedicated workspaces and cellular office suite spaces using over 700 linear meters of high performance acoustic glazing.
Core structures are complemented with a utilitarian approach to building services, using NASA labs as inspiration. Bespoke workstations, exposed services, clean lines and metallic colours provide a backdrop to brand messaging and wayfinding, giving spaces individuality.
The basement and upper floors of Regents House have gone from an underutilised legacy building to a fit for purpose technology campus where ambitious start-ups will develop the next billion dollar company.

项目亮点

Every aspect of LOM’s design for RocketSpace was based on creating an extraordinary workplace experience that is designed to suit individual needs, has strong and unique identity and is more functional.
The user experience starts from the reception where it doubles as a clear extension of the workplace and networking facilities the campus provides. Traditional upholstered seating has been replaced with built-in tiered seating to encourage impromptu meetings.
The most unique space within the building and with the greatest opportunity for transformation and social interaction is the basement and particularly the cash vault. Behind reinforced concrete walls, the strongroom, has become the campus games room. Bespoke banquette seating, plush upholstered furnishings and drapes, a cinema lightbox and ornate billiard table in the new games room, all designed by LOM, provide references to the activities of a former cash vault. The basement includes a 140 seat theatre and multi-purpose co-working facilities for over 300 start-up businesses.
The upper floors of the campus, arranged around two large internal courtyards, contain a variety of scalable working spaces serving tech startup needs; self-contained cellular suites for 4 to 30 persons, communal hot desks, quiet booth, communal break out spaces and print areas.
