About the Project

To celebrate Le Bon Marché’s summer exhibition entitled ‘Paris!’, Christian Louboutin took over 10 windows at the iconic French department store.

These windows were an ode to The City of Light, each window taking you on a surreal journey across Paris from Spring through to Winter, exploring a Louboutin themed Café and Christian’s unique take on the Jardin des Tuileries.

Each window was an almanac comprising of individually animated moving elements and paper pop-ups, including dancing legs in a Cabaret scene, and Christian illustrating an oversized journal with his trademark Rouge nail polish.

What’s unique about it

These windows were an ode to Paris, the home of Christian Louboutin. Each window taking you on a surreal journey across the city from Spring through to Winter, exploring typical Parisian vignettes through the pages of a diary. These include a Louboutin themed Café, Kiosk, Arcade, Pagode and Cinema

The viewers were invited to dive into Christian's world through the scenes, revealing facets of the creator’s multiple universes whilst product photography highlighted the new season’s collection. Each scene is staged atop our interpretation of Christian’s actual writing desk, and features some of his most cherished belongings.
